Africa In America Magazine Presents..."For Our Boys..."
As the conclusion of Africa In America: Music, Dance, and Culture Magazine's Launch, experience the beauty of six original new African Diasporic music and dance-based pieces in collaboration with professional recording artists that will honor the lives of our young black boys whose lives were cut short due to the injustices that stem from racism in America. This is an Original Works Showcase, set up in order to expose those choreographers and/or music and dance companies that specifically showcase African Dance from the diaspora or the various regions in Africa. Each act will begin with an original piece choreographed by the Creator of Africa In America Magazine, Kara Mack; then two pieces will be featured after.
This year's featured choreographers are:
Rachel Hernandez (Afro-Brazilian)
Willy Souly (Afro-Contemporary)
Kara Mack (Sabar & Djembe)
