Benthic Show with Ana Caravelle
Ana Caravelle (aka Anahita Navab) is a composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and clinical psychologist-in-training. Ana takes inspiration from themes and patterns she finds in nature, both that of the natural world and that of the human condition that she sees in her clinical work and everyday life. She currently is obtaining her PhD at UC Santa Barbara and feels that her clinical and musical work form a sort of symbiotic inspirational relationship, mutually nourishing and growing upon each other. Her delicately crafted harp and vocal songs serve as lush arrangements for simple and persistent themes she finds in her work, and she frequently collaborates with her partner Ryan York in exploring new sounds and concepts in the genre of experimental folk. Her sophomore record entitled 'Benthic' will be available mid summer 2014.
Or, Alina Cutrono, previously of Body Parts, performs solo.
