After Party on Saturday evening
Join our talented local dancers in another performance of ground breaking choreography.
This year we are proud to announce the Idaho premiere of international choreographer Danny Pelzig's "Nine Lives: Songs of Lyle Lovett". Originally choreographed for Boston Ballet, this piece has been performed by many world class companies including Pennsylvania Ballet and Tulsa Ballet. We are truly grateful to Danny and Lyle Lovett for giving us permission to perform this fun filled work that will have you singing along.
Daniel Ojeda, in collaboration with Paper Gates musician Andy Rayborn, will perform a new work with Andy playing live.
Ballet Idaho's John Frazer will give his choreographic debut with two new works. "Fortunato's Cask" and "Knox". Set to the guitar music of Brandon Campbell, "Fortunato's Cask" is based of Edgar Allen Poe's "Cask of Amontillado"
Also on the program will be a piece by Idaho Dance Theatre's Artistic Director Marla Hansen, Off Center Dance's Artistic Director Kelli Brown "Soggy Thursday", a new work by Project Flux's Director Lydia Sakolsky-Basquill, and film work by Nathan Powell.
All ticket holders from Friday and Saturday night are invited to our after party Saturday night in the Philharmonic Building across the parking lot. More details to come.
