This posse has been summoned to enforce the Law of Groove! They're a multi-generational powerhouse traditional string trio based in northwestern VT's Champlain Valley. Well-known multi-instrumentalist and troubadour Pete Sutherland is a teacher, songcrafter and producer, and still loves to lay down a dance groove with his inventive fiddling. As often as possible these days he's found on the bandstand with fellow native Vermonter Oliver Scanlon. A recent high school graduate, Oliver has absorbed much of his mentor's phrasing and dynamics and their tight twin fiddles (and Oliver's mandolin) are energizing audiences in an ever-widening territory. With the unstoppable groove of Tristan Hendersen's multitude of fretted and percussive instruments added to the mix - along with bursts of double foot-tapping, original songs and off-the-wall covers - you have 'PETE'S POSSE', a "power to be reckoned with!."
