Pathways of Change: APPEAL's 20 Years
For the past 20 years, Asian Pacific Partners for Empowerment, Advocacy, and Leadership (APPEAL), a national, nonprofit, health-justice organization serving Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities, has worked to achieve health equity for our communities and build a tobacco-free society for the next generation. One of our key program areas is the RAISE Network Project, though which APPEAL, the lead organization, and its coalition partners work to prevent and reduce tobacco use and other cancer-related health disparities in AANHPI communities.
Our 20th anniversary gala dinner is an opportunity for APPEAL to celebrate its successes and those achieved by AANHPI communities and partner organizations over the last 20 years in tobacco control and food and active living policy and to look forward toward the important work still to be done.
