Chriss Ross and Will Mallett
Join us Wednesday July 2nd at 7PM for this co billed performance showcasing the musical talents of Chris Ross and Will Mallett.
Chris Ross, a talented singer/songwriter and Maine native came onto the music scene with his group Stiff Whisker and the Driftwood Kids but since 2010 when the group disbanded he has been focusing on his solo career. Making music has been his full-time gig since the release of his first solo album The Steady Stumble and his second album Halfway to Wonderland, he has traveled throughout Maine playing at venues both large and small to promote himself and his music.
Although both of his albums to date have been recorded in Nashville, Ross's music is more based in Americana and folk than textbook country. While his music reflects the influences of LaMontagne, Springsteen, the Counting Crows and others, Chris Ross is a unique artist whose songs cannot be directly compared to one musician or genre.
Will Mallett is a founding member of the nationally touring alt/country rock group The Mallett Brother Band and one of the group's primary songwriters. He first picked up a guitar at about age 4 and despite his best efforts to get out of the family business by attending a liberal arts school and contemplating such professions as the military, law school and academia, fate has a funny way of doing its thing.
