Join us for a casual evening of design presentations and discussion centered around the submissions for the 2009 AIA Committee on Design (COD) IDEAS Competition.

Entitled "Listening to the Past, Looking to the Future: A House for Today", this unique sketch competition asked submitters to explore the legacy of modernist design through a conceptual design problem. Being an ideas competition, submitters were encouraged to follow the principles of the Living Building Challenge and apply them to modernist residential design.

The evening's emphasis will be a discussion of modernist design, in an open forum, as it relates to sustainability and the ideas that were generated for the competition.

Several of the entries will be available for presentation and discussion including two that were submitted by teams from our own chapter.
