Hands-On Pizza Workshop and Walking Tour of Little Italy 7/26/09

meets at Alleva Dairy
New York, NY

Join chef Mark Bello of Pizza a Casa for a fun and informative day of artisanal thin crust pizza making (and eating!) Yes, YOU can make incredible pizza in your home kitchen and here's where you'll learn how. Class meets in Little Italy, where Mark will guide you through shopping and a tasting of the finest ingredients for the pizza making to follow. Then it's off to Mark's kitchen to learn the secrets of pizza making perfection with a standard home oven. You'll start by making your own dough from scratch, while at the ready will be a spread of top-shelf pizza toppings for you to choose from as you are guided step by step through the process of crafting the perfect pie. By the end of the afternoon you will emerge a confident, talented pizza chef yourself!

"My girlfriend and I took your class a few months ago and really loved it. We have since made pizza for our family and friends and they all rave about it! We've taken a bunch of different cooking classes, but yours has been the most valuable one. Thank you!"

To ensure the best possible pizza making experience and individualized attention for all, classes are limited to six people (waiting list and future class dates at www.pizzaacasa.com)  Classes run approximately 5 hours.  Please dress comfortably as class involves some walking, stair climbing and, of course, a little bit of kneading- AND be prepared to eat some spectacular pizza of your own creation! (FYI: we'll provide snazzy "Pizza a Casa" aprons for all-- and for you to keep!)  You will enjoy delicious samples in Little Italy, pizzas as they emerge fresh from the oven, and head home with Pizza a Casa's detailed guide Artisanal Pizza Making at Home- plus several balls of individually wrapped dough that YOU made and a box of pizza for later!

Note: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance of class. Credit will be issued towards a future class or event. Any cancellations within 48 hours of class are nonrefundable. However, we will accept a name transfer if you would like to fill your slot for the class with a friend, family member or colleague. Pizza a Casa reserves the right to cancel any class due to low registration. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. If a class you wish to attend is sold out, please email info@pizzaacasa.com to be placed on the waiting list.
