The Muppets venture into Tolkien territory in this all-Muppet fantasy The Dark Crystal. The magic Crystal maintains equilibrium in the kingdom. When the Crystal is broken, the evil Skeksis take over, killing off the good-guy Gelflings and enslaving everyone else. Two of the Gelflings have escaped and join forces to "heal" the precious Dark Crystal to restore order to their world. This epic fantasy is great fun for adults but may be a little dark for kids.
