M-bibe Presents: The 2014 M-Power Benefit Concert Series - CONCERT #2 - Benefiting Young Women Empowered - Featuring Kate Lynne Logan and Melaena Cadiz
We are really excited to bring you our second benefit concert of 2014! Young Women Empowered is our nonprofit beneficiary, and the concert will feature two phenomenal singer-songwriters, Kate Lynne Logan and Melaena Cadiz.
Our concert will take place in Ballard's Odd Fellows Lodge, a beautiful high-ceiling, wood-floored space right on NW Market St.

The smooth, ethereal tone of Logan's voice draws comparisons to Allison Krauss and The Wailin' Jennys' Ruth Moody gentle, but evocative. Paired with her steady-like-a-train guitar-playing, her sound further blurs the lines between Pop, Americana, and Alt-Country. Logan has shared stages with talented and award winning artists such as Brandi Carlile, Elizabeth Cook, Peter Bradley Adams, Sera Cahoone, and Claire Lynch. She has performed throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Colorado and New Mexico, as well as performing at iconic Seattle venues such as The Tractor Tavern, Neumos, and The Triple Door.

Few are the songwriters that can capture even a small portion of the breadth of the modern human experience in one small collection of songs. But those that do are the ones destined for greatness. Melaena Cadiz is one such songwriter. The Michigan-bred, Brooklyn-based artist has been bringing small portraits plucked from the American landscape using the language of folk, pop, and country to bring them to beautiful, breathing life.
