"Intimately Wilde"
Olio Theatre Works presents the Los Angeles premiere of "Intimately Wilde," written and directed by Terra Taylor Knudson. Performances run August 13th - September 13th, 2009 at the Lyric Theatre.
When celebrated poet Oscar Wilde is charged with a criminal felony for his affair with the son of a gentleman, he is faced with the ultimate choice: deny his true nature, or declare himself a man of honor and risk losing everything.
What happens next is the stuff that legends and martyrs are made of.
"Intimately Wilde" is not a is not a story of punishment or regret. Rather, it celebrates the force of Wilde's spirit and his determination to remain true to himself, his art, and the two people he cherishes above all else: his wife and his lover.
A portion of the profits from ticket sales goes to support The California Courage Campaign; an organization dedicated to furthering social justice in the state of California. For more information about this, please visit: www.oliotheatreworks.org.
Special Opening Night Champagne Reception with the cast and crew Saturday, August 15th immediately following the performance.
