Bucks County Creative Arts Celebration
Inspire Performing Arts is presenting the first annual Bucks County Creative Arts Celebration, on Saturday, July 18, 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Crossing Vineyards Winery, Washington Crossing. The event is jointly sponsored with Crossing Vineyards and Women Helping Women representing an alliance that has sprung out of a mutual passion to develop the creative and entrepreneurial resources of our community. In addition, funds raised via a live event auction, will be donated towards the preservation of the Historic Patterson Farm site in Lower Makefield Township, with the goal of preserving the unique heritage of Bucks County.
The evening will be divided into two sessions for youth and adults. During the youth program, young artists under 21 years old will present short pieces in theater, dance and music, affording them the joy of performing and the chance to network. For the adult program, both professional and non-professional performers will present works varying from poetry to rock music to theater. There may even be historical reenactments, a bit of opera or maybe some other surprises. In other words, expect the unexpected! The July 18 celebration will be held in the tradition of a Salon, a gathering of creative personalities to educate and entertain each other. Salons were very popular in Europe and the United States 0D especially during the 17th through 19th centuries, and were most often held in private courts and homes. Salons gave masters such as Chopin and Beethoven their earliest professional starts.
Inspire Performing Arts Founder Susanne Sulby noted, The objective of our Celebration and our entire organization -- is to create an atmosphere where local artists in the performing, written or visual arts can come together and share their passion for their work. We want to offer them a place where they can network, experiment and just have fun.
Ms. Sulby is an established actress who has performed throughout the greater Philadelphia region for 20 years and taught with virtually every major acting company in the city. She has served as a senior company member of the Philadelphia Area Repertory Theatre, appeared in many productions, and is a designated Linklater voice instructor and frequently-requested voiceover artist.
