Did you know that Montreal Jewish cuisine is central to its culinary heritage and fabric? Some of Montreal's most iconic dishes and emblematic establishments are Jewish! Learn about this community, their eats and historical presence in the now very hip Outremont, Plateau and Mile End. We will tell a story of survival, hard-work, prosperity and class conflict through eating, visiting classic spots and stopping at some historical sites where anecdotes are lingering! From diner to deli to bagel factory: lots of kibitzing to be had!
This expedition includes the tasting at 5 places and it is done on foot. There is alot of walking and the food is not kosher. It can not be adapted to people with a gluten intolerance or allergy, but can be adapted to vegetarians. Additional drinks, celebration cakes, customized transportation, team-building activities or an end party in a bar or corporate loft are all possible for an additional cost.
