Slow Children
Re-bar Seattle, WA
Slow Children is a hilarious hair-metal melodrama set in the Hollywood of 1989, when big hair, spandex unitards and bands like Poison reigned supreme. Hair metal rocker Rikki has "arrested" Deputy Doug Ellison, by handcuffing him to the enourmous sofa in his cramped Hollywood apartment. But what was meant to be a chance to "stick it to the man", ends up flipping everybody's world, as Ratt would say: " 'Rond and 'Round". As the deputy negotiates his freedom, he finds a new idol in Rikki's roommate Timo, a new love in Rikki's girlfreind Nina, and despite the efforts of Doug's fiance Sgt. Laruffa, Doug's appetite for donuts turns into a an "Appetite for Destruction" The Stranger raves: "Slow children had me laughing my ass off!"
