Our Dance Workshops are taught by professional dance instructors who will focus on fat-burning dances from the three (3) ethnic groups with the highest rates of obesity: Native Americans, African Americans and Hispanic/Latino Americans. They will teach the basic dance routines in the afternoon and you'll be dancing with confidence that night to Alex Torres and his Latin Kings and DJ MainEvent. This is not ballroom dancing, it's free-style, so channel your inner dance and win the battle of the bulge. Dance Instructors Kenny Perkins and Hanna of the Mohawk Nation (Smoke Dancing) Terry Julius and Michele (Line Dancing) and Sassitude (Twerking) Johnny Martinez and Jen of TangoFusion (Salsa)
Obesity Survivors share how they lost their weight and kept it off through dance. Sample our ethno-centric buffet. It's tasty, nutritious and delicious Silent Auction
