The Roughhouse Presents: Trainwreck
Have you ever been the victim of a misunderstanding? Eh? What's that? Well same to you, buddy! Join us for a night of miscommunication, missed connections, and mayhem. From overweight androids and clingy ghosts to deviant carnies and Shakespearean detectives, The Roughhouse will take you on a wild ride that's completely off the rails. You won't be able to look away from Trainwreck.
Trainwreck is limited to ages 18 and over.
Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 at the door.
CAST
Jimmy Snell Jimmy is an actor, writer, and improvisor based out of the Bay Area, California. He has studied at ComedySportz San Jose since 2009, and is a member of their house team, as well as a founding member of their house sketch team Laughingstock Sketch Co. Jimmy has performed with various companies around the Bay Area, including Shakespeare Santa Cruz, The Gaslighter, and Barnstorm, and is a founding member of The Roughhouse.
Marisa Hankins Marisa is a multi-talented performer in San Jose, and she is proud to be a founding member and co-owner of Roughhouse Comedy. She began her sketch career with the Laughingstock Sketch Co. and is currently performing on the house team at ComedySportz San Jose. Her work has been featured at Shakespeare Santa Cruz and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival ('02, '05).
Brandon Arnold Brandon is an improviser and writer from San Jose, California. He has been performing improv with ComedySportz San Jose since 2005 and with them he has performed in 1000+ truly unique shows. He's studied sketch at Second City Chicago, was a founding member of the Laughingstock Sketch Co. and is a founding member of The Roughhouse.
Ben Stephens After inspiration and training from The Second City, Annoyance Theatre, ComedySportz, and Upright Citizens Brigade, Ben co-founded the Made Up Theatre in Fremont to share his love for comedy and improvisation with the Bay Area. As an improvisational acting coach and teacher, Ben has led improv classes for teens and adults, as well as been contracted to perform improv comedy shows and facilitate team building workshops for many organizations throughout the Bay Area.
Drew Simchik Drew has been improvising with ComedySportz San Jose since 2002 as a player, instructor, and referee, and began writing and performing with The Roughhouse in 2014. He made his Bay Area light opera debut that same year in the title role of the Stanford Savoyards' production of The Mikado. When not onstage, Drew works in the tech industry as a user interface designer.
