A concert to benefit the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition and featuring "Where I Live" (A Breast Cancer Oratorio) by Diane Benjamin.
Note: Where I Live alternates seven songs with six narrative pieces, is filled with lyrical beauty and rhythmic intensity. Diane Benjamin is a self-taught composer who wrote her first piece at age 8. She took up composing again in 1992 and her choral commissions and instrumental pieces have been performed throughout the United States and Canada. Where I Live: A Breast Cancer Oratorio was commissioned in 1999 and has raised over $20,000 for local women's cancer organizations.
Artistic Director Claudia Frost balances the program with songs of the dance, reflecting our ability to see, hear, and enjoy the beauty of our lives.
