John Craigie in Concert
The Marshall Grange is pleased to present a special Hemp History Week Concert with singer songwriter storyteller John Craigie on Friday May 30.  Singer songwriter Molly Paul will open the show with her ukulele beginning at 7:30 PM.  Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

John Craigie writes, sings, and plays for the people.  For the past decade he has "lived the life romantic" of a continuously touring folk-singer, taking his unique musical style across the United States and the world. A singer, songwriter and storyteller, he stays true to the essence of folk music, and the traditions of the seminal writers of our past century. With timeless melodies and insightful lyricsinterspersed with witty storytellinghis songs take many poetic turns before bringing his listeners back home. His themes range from social commentary to personal empowerment, political satire, and modern love.  For more info and a sample of tunes, check out John's website (http://johncraigiemusic.com/).  For a real treat go to https://www.youtlube.com/user/johncraigie and check out his videos.  This is one fun performer.  Sacramento singer songwriter Molly Paul will open the show with her fine ukulele playing and great vocals.

John and Molly are appearing as part of the Marshall Grange Hemp History Week, a project of the Hemp Industry Association and Vote Hemp to educate folks about the role hemp has played in the history of the United States, its use in many products form earlier times and today, and a call for legalization so American farmers can once again grow this important crop.  There will be a display of hemp products at the concert including coupons from hemp manufacturers and free samples of Dr. Bronner's soaps, oils, and lotions, Nature Path Hemp Granola Bars, Nutiva Hemp Seeds and Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts.  You can learn more about Hemp History Week at www.hemphistoryweek.com and www.votehemp.com.

This is going to be another fun concert at the Marshall Grange, celebrating Hemp History Week with some free hemp goodies, and music to put a smile on your face.  The Marshall Grange is located at 4940 Marshall Road, in Garden Valley.  Driving directions may be found at www.marshallgrange.org.  For further information call 530-642-8671
