Two Roads Diverged: Publishing a Novel Today with author Jenny Milchman
Join the Red Wheelbarrow Writers and Book Fare Cafe, on the mezzanine level of Village Books, for a special event with Seattle mystery writer Jenny Milchman. Following her 7pm presentation in the Readings Gallery of Village Books, Jenny will head up to the Book Fare Cafe for a small reception and informal talk. Jenny will discuss how the publishing world changed out from under her during the thirteen years she spent trying to get published, and what made her decide to stick to the traditional path. Would self- or indie-publishing have been a better option? If not for Jenny, then for another writer?

This informal talk will contain plenty of opportunity for Q&A about one of today's most in-flux industries, and the chance to explore which publishing path might be right for you.

Tickets are $12 and include one glass of wine or beer, and light appetizers. Additional food is available for purchase at the Cafe. Tickets are also available at Book Fare Cafe.

About Jenny Milchman:
Jenny Milchman's debut novel, Cover of Snow, received praise from thriller writers such as Lee Child, Harlan Coben, and Hank Phillippi Ryan, was chosen as an IndieNext and Target Pick, and nominated for a Mary Higgins Clark award. Her follow up, Ruin Falls, has received starred reviews from Booklist and Library Journal. Jenny is the founder of Take Your Child to a Bookstore Day and chair of International Thriller Writers' Debut Authors Program. Jenny is on what Shelf Awareness calls the "world's longest book tour," taking four months to visit bookstores, libraries, schools, and book clubs.
