For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow is Enuf by Ntozake Shange
Project1Voice is a grassroots organization that was designed to promote and strengthen African American Theatre and playwrights.  Each year on the third Monday in June, Project1Voice presents 1Voice/1Play/1Day a national fundraiser to foster community awareness and audience recommitment to their local African American Arts institutions.  Project1Voice collaborates with African American theatre companies across the world to present Staged readings of a classic play or musical by an African American write or composer.

This year UPROOTED theatre and Bronzeville Arts Ensemble partner for the reading of For Colored Girls by Ntozake Shange.

We are thrilled to be hosted by Venice Williams at The Body and Soul Healing Arts Center
(3617 N 48th Street) and we will be joined by many local vendors who join us fueled with the desire to promote awareness about women's health issues.

This year we offer the opportunity to join us for dinner before the performance.

$20 for the Meet, Eat and Greet (Kids eat free with an adult) at 5:30

$10 General Admission

$7 Student, Senior and Veteran Rate (This must be arranged with an advanced registration.  Call 920-650-1806)

On Site childcare available for children 5&up

Directed by Sheri Williams Pannell, the reading features local actresses Marvette Knight Andrews, Bria Cloyd, Marti Gobel, Azeeza islam, Ashley Jordan, Samantha Montgomery, Malkia Stampley and Ozara Ode.
