Introduction to Selling at Pike Place Market
Seattle Handmade and Pike Place Producers are teaming up to offer a glimpse into selling at Seattle's original year-round indoor crafts market, Pike Place Market. We have gathered a roster of current Pike Place Vendors to give you a tour of the market, talk about the application process, and answer questions.
David Dickinson, Daystall and Craft Program Manager, will give a brief introduction and Marlo Miyashiro, Seattle Handmade Organizer, will lead a panel discussion with current Pike Place artists:
Dionea Nadir of Emerald City Glass Leo Schmidt of Lamp Cycle Cynthia Nochowitz of Deerest Designs Megan Carlisle of Nature's Twist, Miranda Marks of Rubber Revolution
Location: We will be meeting at 6:30pm at the Roll Call Board which is located at the North end of the market arcade across the street from Starbucks on Pike Place. From there we will take a tour of the facility and meet up in a conference room located upstairs on the south west corner of Pike Street and Pike Place. You can download a map of the market here: http://www.pikeplacemarket.org/explore-the-market
Tickets: The event is FREE to attend, but you will need to register at Brown Paper Tickets to save your spot. With only 20 spots available, you'll want to reserve your ticket ASAP and be sure to be there! http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/693384
Parking: There is a paid parking garage on Western Ave (the 3rd Parking lot driveway entrance south of Virginia) that you can use. Alternately, if you can find a spot, street parking on Pike Place is free after 6 pm with no restrictions on time.
