The Emergency Circus returns to hometown Tucson to transform the patio of Hotel Congress into a SUPERHERO themed Circus show with juggling, music, magic, dancing, high voltage electricity, clowning, and costume contest for best original superhero. This all ages event takes place during Downtown Second Saturdays and is a fundraiser to support the Emergency Circus' Tour to the Rescue. |
Clay Mazing, Cirque Roots, Tucson Variety Society, DJ Carl Hanni, The Wonderfools, America's Got Talent Finalist: Special Head (the levitating magician), Circus Amperean's Towering Tesla Coil, Drea Lusion, and much more.
The Tour to the Rescue is traveling the U.S. in a retrofitted ambulance equipped with megaphones, musical instruments, a myriad of circus props, and a revolving cast of all star circus performers from around the country. The 5 week, 6,000 mile tour is visiting more than 25 "undercircussed" facilities including local stops at Tucson Medical Center Pediatric Unit and and Casa de los Ninos Children's Crisis Center.
The Emergency Circus uplifts the hurt and healing with inspiration, education, and empathy by performing shows and teaching workshops to the undercircussed everywhere. A troupe of Emergency Circus Technicians deliver inspirational circus shows and creative workshops to hospitals, senior centers, homeless shelters, and other places where health and happiness struggle. Through spectacle and performance the Emergency Circus demonstrates the power of the human spirit to achieve seemingly impossible skills through dedication and persistence.
