Leukemia & Lymphoma Society"s Gala Evening and Fund Raiser
at Ray's Boathouse Thursday, 29 May 2014
6:00 pm until 10:00 pm
Tickets $40.00 per person
Your ticket includes a complimentary welcome drink and delicious Ray's appetizers, also you will hear Anna Cummins and Dr. Erik Brand speak. Wilma Comenat will share with us what LLS is all about. There will also be a drawing during the evening for many wonderful gifts to take home with the happy winner of each draw. Some of the gifts in the draw are Aveda: a facial party for 5 guests

A cash bar will be available throughout the Gala Evening.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through Team in Training will introduce the first ever rowing crew for the Master's Regional Rowing Championships, Vancouver, WA June 20 - 22, 2014. The 12 women Novice Rowing Crew will have completed four months of training to prepare for this event.
Anna Cummins will be our keynote speaker.
Anna Cummins is a two time Olympic medalist; her boat won silver in 2004 in Athens for the Women's 8+ Rowing. In 2008 at the Olympics in Beijing, her boat won the gold medal for the 2000 mts Women's 8+ Rowing. Anna and her crew are being inducted into the National Rowing Foundation Hall of Fame for achievement as a boat of the 2008 Olympic Gold Medalists in the women's eight and their coach. The induction ceremony will be held on 31 May 2014.
Dr. Erik Brand will be our guest speaker.
Dr. Erik Brand is a Sports Medicine Physician with a strong rowing background and a depth of medical knowledge. Dr. Brand combines both of these areas of wisdom into a style of sports medicine that is readily understandable and with good long lasting results. He has given talks all across America about ways in which to prevent sports injuries. He is passionate about sharing this knowledge and we will have the honor of hearing him speak at our event.
