Midsummer Night's Dessert Party with Cory Schreiber, Julie Richardson and Neil Robertson
Join us for 'A Midsummer Night's Dessert Party' on July 30th, in celebration of Cory Schreiber and Julie Richardson's new book 'Rustic Fruit Desserts: Crumbles, Buckles, Cobblers, Pandowdies and More'.
Late July in Seattle is the perfect time for us to celebrate the bounty of berries and fruit from the Northwest in the form of pies, crisps, Betty's, hand pies and grunts! We will gather in a private garden and home, and enjoy some savory bites as well as desserts created from the book by the incomparable Neil Robertson. Neil has devoted the last five years to the pastry kitchens of some of the most esteemed restaurants in the world, including Restaurant Guy Savoy, Mansion/L'Atelier du Joel Robuchon, the Bellagio Hotel and Seattle's Canlis. Wines, beverages, desserts, and a copy of 'Rustic Fruit Desserts' are included in the $60 per person ticket price.
Cory Schreiber founded Wildwood Restaurant in Portland and won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Northwest during his tenure there. He now works as the Farm-to-School Food Coordinator with the Oregon Dept. of Agriculture and continues to teach, write, consult and cook in Portland, Oregon. Julie Richardson is the founder and co-owner of Baker & Spice Bakery in Portland and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.
