Friends of Sacred Music 2014-2015 - Sacred Music in a Sacred Space
"...St. Ignatius has become one of the most exciting churches in New York in which to hear indigenous forces." - The New York Times
Even The New York Times agrees the Sacred Music in a Sacred Space concert series has emerged as one of the leading cultural institutions in New York City for sacred classical music. Based in the beautiful setting and glorious acoustic of the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, SMSS attracts New York City's finest musical talent for these exhilarating performances. Being able to expand the breadth of repertoire heard in New York through this concert series is a thrilling opportunity for us and we are thankful to you, our ardent audience, for supporting us in this mission.
We need your support in helping us bring this inspiring music to life through performance. Sacred Music in a Sacred Space is not an endowed program; each season we must raise the necessary funds to cover our artistic and operating expenses. Income from ticket sales covers nearly half of each season's expenses and as foundation support diminishes, we must rely on support from individuals to ensure that we can reach our goal.
Please join us in making these extraordinary performances possible. No contribution is too large or too small, and each one goes a long way to make certain that music will be ringing from this sacred space for years to come.
Join us as a Friend of Sacred Music today. Your name will be listed in our concert programs throughout the season and donations are tax deductible.*
