Festival French Classical Music
Mark Starr and Isabelle Chapuis, are co-musical directors of this new festival sponsored by the Alliance Française of Silicon Valley.
On June 20th and 21st, two evenings of top performances by some of the best musicians of the Bay Area who will entertain us with the works of 8 French composers, from Ravel to Faure and Alkan or Chausson.
Young stars like Stephen Waarts (17), the recent winner of the 2014 Menuhin Violin competition along with on June 21th 2014 Gwendolyn Mok at the piano, they will perform a Concerto pour violon, piano and quatuor a Cordes from Chausson.
The Group ESF Ensemble of San Francisco;
Roman Fukshansky, clarinet Christine McLeavey Payne, piano Jonah Kim, cello Marcel Gimperli, viola Rebecca Jackson, violin Moni Simeonov, violin Rufus Olivier, bassoon will perfom a variety of works from French composers, Milhaud, Poulenc, Ravel, Faure and Edith Piaf.
