An evening celebrating Tennessee Williams, with live performances of scenes from A Streetcar Named Desire, hosted by Jef Valentine as Blanche DuBois.
Come dressed as your favorite Tennessee Williams heroine for a chance to win tickets to see Merola's performance of Streetcar (the opera). Plus, a Stella-Screaming Contest, Stella Lager, and other surprises.
This event celebrates the Merola Opera Program's performances of André Previn's opera based on the play, A Streetcar Named Desire, July 10 and 12 at the Everett Auditorium (450 Church Street) in San Francisco.
This celebratory evening will feature local actors reading scenes from Tennessee Williams' play set in New Orleans. The event also includes "Stella" scream off, "Stella" Atois beer along with wine and snacks, and a red carpet photo booth with free pictures with opera props. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Tennessee Williams' character. Costume and scream off judging will take place at 8 pm, with prizes including tickets to the opera A Streetcar Named Desire and a copy of the Tennessee Williams' play.
$10, includes drinks; tickets available in the store or at Brown Paper Tickets online.
