Come get your hands dirty with your local fungus farmers! You'll have the opportunity to tour our Brooklyn Navy Yard farm before settling in to discover the ins and outs of oyster mushroom cultivation. Mycologist Emilie Winfield will teach us how these funky fungi grow, explain the growth of Brooklyn Grange's own mushroom production and the unique challenges of cultivating mushrooms in the city, and lead us in building our own mushroom kits to take home.
