CAMI LUNDEEN BIO
Shortly after being diagnosed with a rare, incurable liver disease in 2010, Cami Lundeen turned to songwriting and performing as an outlet for coping with a daunting reality. With barely one year of live performances under her belt, Lundeen recorded her crowd funded debut album Run Free. Released in August 2013, Run Free is an intimate weaving of her story a journey of life struggles. Heralded as one of the top albums of 2013 by Troy Michael of "Innocent Words", he says:
"With singer songwriters a dime a dozen these days it's pretty hard to separate yourself as one of the musicians who deserve to be noticed. Seattle songstress Cami Lundeen proves she deserves a place in this music industry for a long long time with her phenomenal debut 'Run Free'. The self-released 10-track album is sparse on pretentiousness and filled with hope, passion, introspection and a will to pick yourself up no matter how bad this hard world can beat you down." Troy Michael, Innocent Words Magazine & Records
Cami's beautifully haunting voice, profound lyrics, and creative melodies linger long after you've heard them. She sings and performs with a contagious passion and conviction that moves you to the depths of your being. Her energetic style is a blend of the bluesy-soul of Adele, an alternative rock flare reminiscent of The Cranberries, and the edginess of Pink.
Hailing from Vashon Island, Washington, Lundeen played her first public show at a local farmers market. Within a year's time she rapidly grew her fan base by playing several festivals and popular venues in the Seattle area - including Seattle's Northwest Folklife Festival, The Crocodile, The Hard Rock Café, and The Triple Door. Her debut album titled Run Free was engineered, produced, mixed, and mastered by Ryan McAllister (former Maverick Records artist) at Five Acres Studio in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
