Feast your senses on a rich kaleidoscope of Brazilian-themed music, food and dance at Alegre Carnaval Viva Rio 2006, the signature fundraising event of the Merit Associates. With the warmth of the Brazilian people, the Merit Associates invite you to samba your way to a sumptuous evening of music and mingling with Chicago's premier group of emerging business leaders and philanthropists for the arts.
The festivities begin at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the Lyon & Healy Harp Company. All monies directly benefit the Alegre Strings and Merit School of Music's many community music programs, reaching over 6,000 Chicago-area children each year. Join the energy, lighten your spirit with Samba, delight in performances by Merit's Alegre Strings and Latin Jazz Band, and take part in Alegre Carnaval...Good for the soul and great for the children of Merit School of Music.
