This environmental fun run is designed to bring the vision of Zero Waste to reality through action and education! Zero Waste principles will help heal our planet and protect its resources through conservation, reuse, and recycling. These efforts can have a significant impact on greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. With our climate changing, the urgency to educate ourselves on its impact and how to prevent irreversible trends is immediate. Our mission is to bring awareness to individuals and organizations about Zero Waste principles to create real solutions to a global problem.
Race to Zero Waste is committed in providing environmental solutions through citizen action. The planning committee plans to bring a 5K Fun Run and environmental talks to San Francisco through community support and volunteer dedication.
