| Description |
Learn first-hand how New York's best chefs create their menus from the freshest, local ingredients available at Greenmarket, and how they are working together with farmers to preserve farmland and encourage sustainable agriculture. Chef Michael Anthony and Greenmarket staff will be your expert guides, providing a behind-the-scenes perspective on the pleasures and benefits of shopping at the market. You'll begin with a personal tour of the Union Square Greenmarket with Chef Anthony, where you will meet the farmers who have inspired him and learn about seasonal cooking. Then you will walk to Gramercy Tavern and be treated to a private, four-course lunch with wine pairings from the bounties of the day prepared especially for you.
The event is made possible by the extraordinary generosity of Chef Anthony, Gramercy Tavern, the Union Square Hospitality Group, and New York Wine & Grape Foundation. All proceeds will benefit The Council on the Environment of New York City's Greenmarket program and its mission to preserve family farms, bring fresh produce to all New Yorkers in the five boroughs, and educate children about the connections between healthy eating and local food systems.
$125.00 + ( $4.12 service fee) = $129.12 (includes wine and gratuity.)
