FURTHER DETAILS
Are you a fan of Green Power? Puget Sound Energy's Green Power Program is hosting a tour of the Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility near Ellensburg, WA, and you're invited!
The Green Power Program has arranged for an exclusive private tour for PSE customers on Saturday, October 11th. We'll hop on a charter bus at PSE's Bellevue headquarters in the morning, enjoy lunch and a tour of the facility, and then return to Bellevue before dinner.
Guests will spend the afternoon exploring the site's Renewable Energy Center, where you can walk the length of a wind turbine blade, see how much energy is being produced in real time, and check out a utility-scale solar array. On a clear day, the views from Wild Horse's 3,500 foot ridge are stunning and encompass Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood.
Tour costs are $5 per person for Green Power customers and $10 per person for PSE customers who aren't Green Power subscribers. The proceeds from the tour will be used to provide lunch as well as purchase carbon offsets for the charter buses. We anticipate that the tour will fill quickly, so we urge those who are interested to reserve their space now. Registration is below.
