THE LAST LETTER
New City Theater's Shoebox Seattle, WA
THE REMAINDER OF THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED!
THE LAST LETTER is drawn from Vasilly Grossman's epic novel LIFE AND FATE. It is 1941. A Jewish woman addresses her faraway son as she awaits certain death in a Jewish ghetto in occupied Ukraine. Her effort to be realistic about her situation, her struggle to maintain her integrity, her compassion and humanity, are a part of our common experience. New York Magazine:"THE LAST LETTER is stunning in its simplicity." Performed by Elizabeth Kenny (whom New City audiences may remember from her award-winning performnace in BASH, and from the extended run of her collaboration with Ki Gottberg on THE COMPENDIUM OF NASTINESS). Directed by New City's artistic director, John Kazanjian.
