Niamh Dunne and Sean Graham, plus Danny O'Mahony
Niamh Dunne and Sean Graham are part of the backbone of the supergroup Beoga who have been touring and recording now for 10 years.  Niamh is part of the Dunne Family, one of the great musical families of Ireland, with a heritage stretching back many generations.  A terrific fiddler and singer, her repertoire is extensive and features many unique songs.  From Portglenone, Co. Antrim, Seán Graham is one of Ireland's most dynamic young button accordion players. He has achieved numerous All-Ireland titles and is also a gifted, self-taught guitarist and fellow Beoga member.

Sharing the bill this special night at the Burren, is Danny O'Mahony. From Ballyduff in North County Kerry, Danny grew up playing music with the older generation of musicians in his locality.  His musical style is expressive and deeply personal, and reflects his affinity with the music of past influencers - primary amongst them of course - his father Mick.

Personally, I think this will be a highlight night in the series, and as I regard Fall as a new year in New England, will kick off our new season with a bang!

The Burren Backroom series is now well established as one of the most sought-after boutique series of trad presentation in the world.  It has already created already dozens of memorable, intimate, informal presentations held in a truly atmospheric space which was founded by well-known traditional musicians Tommy McCarthy and Louise Costello in Davis Square, Somerville, Massachusetts.

Hosted by Brian O'Donovan of A Celtic Sojourn on WGBH radio, these gatherings feature core performers from many aspects of traditional music as well as special guests, and conversations around the music.  As is the custom of the Burren, it is anticipated informal and dynamic post concert sessions will be a feature.

Tickets are $23 in advance, with a $5 discount for WGBH Members.  If you are a member, send an e-mail to celtic@wgbh.org and we will send you the code.

Seating is VERY limited and these events have been selling out, so get your tickets today!
