Event
State of the River, State of the Sound
In Seattle, we have one of the most polluted rivers in the country, which flows directly into Puget Sound. In cooperation with the 'People for Puget Sound' and the 'Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition', the Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center is proud to present the 'State of the River, State of the Sound'. This discussion, led by Kathy Fletcher, BJ Cummings, and James Rasmussen, will take an in depth look at the history of our waterways and the cleanup efforts to date. The focus will then shift to the future of our waterways, and ways in which we as citizens can make a difference.
