The Detroit Improv Festival Reverse Raffle Fundraiser
Join us for night of improv fun and have a chance to win the Grand Prize of at least $1000, all while supporting Gilda's Club of Metro Detroit and the Detroit Improv Collective!
Acts include: Human Amusements, The Mighty They with Special Guest Joe Bill from Chicago's Annoyance Theatre, Bottle of Red and Matt Naas and the Sing-a-long Singers.
In between sets the Reverse Raffle will take place. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. Each $25 show ticket that is purchased gives the ticketholder one raffle ticket. Ticketholders can buy additional raffle tickets at the show for $20.
Interval Drawings will be awarded for the 1st ticket, the 50th & 100th raffle tickets drawn. The 1st ticket drawn will receive $50 and the 50th & 100th tickets will each receive two tickets to a weekend show at the Detroit Improv Festival. All other tickets, when drawn, will take the ticket-holder out of the raffle. The goal is to be the last ticket in the raffle box.
When 5 raffle tickets remain, the final five ticket holders will be asked to come forward. These five ticket holders will have the opportunity to decide whether to continue with the raffle or split the Grand Prize. If there is agreement to stop and split, the Grand Prize will be divided between the five ticket holders. If one person does not want to split, the raffle will continue and another ticket will be drawn. From this point forward, the remaining ticket holders can split the Grand Prize or continue to draw another raffle ticket. Winner of the Grand Prize needs to be present to win.
