Bookmarks presents Down Home with the Neelys Chef and Author Pat Neely
Just in time for the Texas Pete Twin City RibFest, Bookmarks will host Pat Neely, the star of The Food Network's "Down Home with the Neelys" and co-author (with his wife Gina Neely) of the new cookbook, Back Home With the Neelys: Comfort Food from our Southern Kitchen to Yours. He will appear on Wednesday, June 4 at 7 p.m. at the Arts Council Theatre at 610 Coliseum Drive, Winston-Salem, NC. This program is presented with support from The Winston-Salem Journal and Old Salem.
Patrick "Pat" Neely was born in Detroit, Michigan. In 1988, Neely and his three brothers opened a barbecue restaurant in Memphis. In the early 90's, Pat rekindled his passion for his high school sweetheart, Gina, and the two now have a daily TV show on The Food Network called "Down Home with the Neelys." They are the authors of three cookbooks: Down Home with the Neelys: A Southern Family Cookbook, The Neely's Celebration Cookbook: Down-Home Meals for Every Occasion, and Back Home With the Neelys: Comfort Food from our Southern Kitchen to Yours.
On June 4, Pat Neely will talk about his life, his TV show, his cooking, and his love of barbecue. Following the conversation, Pat will sign books and a reception will be held featuring one of the dessert recipes featured in the new book. Tickets are $15 for a general admission ticket and $35.00 for a ticket and a copy of Pat and Gina's new book, Back Home With the Neelys.
All sales are final. Proceeds benefit Bookmarks.
