Tennessee Williams' Parade
Prism Theatre Tempe, AZ
Tennessee Williams' The Parade, or Approaching the End of a Summer is an autobiographical look at the effects of love on the human psyche. On the perfect day towards the end of the perfect summer in 1940, Don's parade is close enough for him to hear the music and laughter but just far enough away to be out of his sight. Can he come to terms with his love that was never meant to be? Or is he destined to wait longingly for his parade that will never come?
