Consonare Chorale: Rhyme or Reason
Rhyme or Reason
"Your face is going to freeze like that! Why did you do that? Are you listening?" Do these words evoke any memories from your childhood? Consonare Chorale shares delightful music of your yester-years to expose young minds to the live concert experience. Music for all ages! From the 250th anniversary of Francis Scott Key's National Anthem to Pharrell's party anthem HAPPY!, Rhyme or Reason has a lot to celebrate! Indulge in some of Eric Whitacre's Animal Crackers (Panther, Cow & Fireflies) or the Monty Python classic, Always Look on the Bright Side of Life. Bring the whole family & reminisce about the 'good ole days' for an afternoon. Members of Consonare will also be featured in solos and small ensembles sharing their favorite childhood musical memories.
FREE CHILDREN'S OUTREACH TICKETS are available to K-12 and college students. Student tickets may be requested by emailing music@consonarechorale.org with student's name. An adult must accompany the student(K-8) at time of admission. These limited tickets must be reserved in advance and will not be available at the door. Seating will be reserved for our honored guests up close and personal.
The chorale is an ensemble of passionate and accomplished musicians. Our name comes from a desire to come together "to harmonize, sound, and resonate" with the ideas and aesthetics encompassed in excellent choral literature. Via interpretation we are able to express the profound effect that music has in our lives.
