Come to Mama: Mother's Day Poetry Brunch
Slam Poetry performance in the theme of motherhood and what it's like to be a mother and daughter and the trials and joy of both roles.
Guests will be entertained by this super-charged performance while dining on delicious southern inspired brunch.
International and National Poetry Slam Champion and Baltimore's own Gayle Danley has been featured on 60 minutes, Baltimore Sun, and Washington Post. This graduate of Howard University and Syracuse University uses poetry to touch and heal the lives of people all across America. She believes that words are more than just what we say they are also what we live. This mother of three and wife of one knows what it means to hurt and to survive life's blows. She'll be in rare form sharing her uncanny perspective on Mother's Day with guests as they dine on the city's best brunch favorites.
Those 18 and up will enjoy the laid back bawdy atmosphere that Gayle creates with her words and her presence.
