Join Us for the 6th Annual Celebration We welcome all eco-friendly businesses and non-profits to participate. A family fun, free event with entertainment, music, food trucks, and free parking. Sponsored by the local businesses and produced by Earth Day in partnership with the King Conservation District and the City of Newcastle as an environmental, educational outreach serving the residents of King County.
Enjoy a stage performance from the Knights of Veritas on environmental chivalry and stewardship. Electric vehicles, kid's activities, and music by the Boeing Employees' Concert Band and Hazen Jazz Band are all part of the celebration! Visit various booths hosted by green businesses and non-profits. Earth Heroes from the local elementary schools and volunteer groups receive honors for their projects. Meet celebs like Bert the Salmon and Ranger Rick. Find everything from organic body care products to solar and wind energy solutions, and flower, veggie and native garden plants. Take home a wonderful item from the silent auction, or register your yard as a Wildlife Habitat. After the award ceremony, 100 attendees receive a free native tree as part of the Wildlife Habitat Program. Join us as we celebrate the 2014 Earth Day event theme, "Living in Harmony with Nature."
