Shake the Hand that Feeds You
A special day-trip to two Great Farms in Marin County. Your hosts will provide delicious snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, you bring a lunch (sharing is encouraged) & wine or beer, if you like.

Sunday, April 26th.

5:00pm
Bus Returns to Lake Merritt BART Station.

- Our first farm is Red Hill in Western Marin. Owned by Don Gilardi, who in only three years time has made a significant leap into the production of lamb and sheep. He also creates lovely yarns, batting and blankets made from sheeps' wool.

- Our lunch will be on a hill overlooking a beautiful vineyard in Marin County. Please bring a bag lunch or a dish to share for our picnic.  In order to reduce waste, please bring your own plate, silverware and cup too.

- Our second farm is Devil's Gulch, a diversified family farm specializing in the production of pork and rabbit, asparagus, eggs, poultry, sausage and premium wine grapes. Mark Pasternak and his wife Myriam have a 75-acre farm in Marin County. www.devilsgulchranch.com

Mark will be selling all varieties of pork, sausage and rabbits he produces on the farm, so bring your checkbooks with if you would like to bring something home.

For more info on whole animal purchasing from Devil's Gulch, go to www.bamcsa.ning.com
