NOVA Roller Derby 2014 Meat Tryouts
Tryouts for the 2014 NOVA Roller Derby meat program will be held on May 30th, 2014 from 7-9pm. at the Michael and Sons Sportsplex at Dulles. We will be running you through the following skills:
-Derby stance and form
-Crossovers
-Plow Stops
-T-Stops
-One Knee, Rock Star & all four falls
-5 laps in 1 minute
-20 laps in 5 minutes
Please come prepared with the following:
*Water
*All of your gear. No loaner gear will be available for this event
*Proof of Health Insurance & a valid ID
Participants who pass this tryout will be invited to the Fall Fresh Meat program, where you will be taught all the skills you need to know to play the game of roller derby, and to pass the league assessments, which will be given later in 2014.
