Description
Nurses from clinical, educational and research settings and nursing students are invited to attend this research conference on October 16, 2009 from 8:00am to 4:30pm at the Florida International University College of Nursing and Health Sciences, organized by the Nursing Consortium of South Florida to raise awareness and facilitate discussion on how nursing practice informs research and nursing research informs practice.

Notes
The Research Consortium of the Nursing Consortium of South Florida invites nurses from clinical, educational and research settings and students to come together for a day of dialogue on the latest nursing research. The conference, hosted by the Florida International University College of Nursing and Health Sciences, will be held on the FIU University Park Campus.

Conference Objective: To raise awareness and facilitate discussion about the ways that nursing practice informs research and nursing research informs practice.

* Keynote: Making Practice Perfect: Locally and Internationally
  - Susan Gennaro, RN, DSN, FAAN, Dean and Professor at the William F. Connell School of Nursing at Boston College

* Additional Speakers to be announced

* Research Presentations and Posters will be selected from the submissions received prior to the deadline.  For abstract submission instructions please go to www.nursingconsortium.us. 

6 contact hours will be offered.  Your registration fee for this daylong event includes parking and conference materials, and opportunities to visit exhibitor booths, network during the continental breakfast, catered breaks, and lunch, participate in tours of the Florida International University College of Nursing and Health Sciences, raffles for book giveaways, and more.
