The Most Important Night of Theater You Will Ever Attend by The Aesthetic of Waste
The newest full-length devised work by the madmen and women of the Aesthetic of Waste, "The Most Important Night of Theater You Will Ever Attend" is a grotesque, chaotic vision of Americana and tragedy. Four young artists have found the most meaningful (or in the eyes of one artist, most offensive) play of the past decade. Following this imploding group of artists as they attempt to bring a life-changing play into fruition, this dynamic show features absurd glimpses into our darkest hours. The short play they create is the world premiere of playwright Eric Pfeffinger's This Meeting Will Change Your Life. Lewd, cataclysmic and the most important event ever to take place in contemporary art. America will live forever and never die!
The Aesthetic of Waste has been producing performance art, full-length theatrical works, and madness since 2011. The group works as a collective, creating art that is devised from the individual members and associates the Aesthetic works with. They have worked with The Overtime Theater, AtticRep, and Habitable Spaces. Their production of We Stole This was awarded "Best Original Theatre" at the 2013 Houston Fringe Festival and White was listed as one of the best shows of 2013 by Deborah Martin of the SA News Express. Several members have won Globe Awards for their work in San Antonio theatre.
