One Arrow, One Heart
SideDoor Studio Olympia, WA
Written and performed by Mark Shimada, ONE ARROW, ONE HEART provides hope and inspiration for dealing with the question: How can I be all that I am? The stories and events that unfold are both stirring and laughable. It is a genuine, raw, and vulnerable telling in which Mark plays eight characters, including himself. Each character is represented by a 36" x 48" expressionistic oil portrait painting by Mark. The paintings alone are worth the price of admission. After premiering on July 16, 2005, ONE ARROW, ONE HEART has performed to standing ovations from the Asian American Journalist Association, Seattle University's Organizational Systems Renewal Conference, The Boeing Company where Mark is currently employed and to local Seattle theater audiences.
