Native Harmonies
CELEBRATION OF NATIVE AMERICAN MUSIC & CULTURE COMING TO LONG BEACH

In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, Raindance, in collaboration with Whirlwind Studios, is hosting a major Native American Music concert at the Ernest Borgnine Theater in Long Beach on November 15th, 2014.

The show will headline Two Time Grammy Award winner and Native American Lifetime Achievement Award winner RITA COOLIDGE, and guest stars Two time Native American Music award winner SHELLEY MORNINGSONG with her husband FABIAN FONTENELLE, Native Blues artist TRACY LEE NELSON, World Champion Hoop Dancer LOWERY BEGAY, and the best Traditional Native American Dancers from all over the Country.

Native Harmonies is produced by Raindance, a Native American and Western gift shop in Long Beach's Shoreline Village. Raindance has been featuring Native American performers at  the store and at the Boardwalk Theater in Shoreline Village for the past couple of years.

"We started noticing a genuine appreciation for the talent and beauty of Native American performers by the public," shared its owners. "We wanted to give them a broader stage and audience for which to perform to bring Native American Culture on the front and center of the American Culture, where it belongs."

Native Harmonies will be emceed by its Artistic Director Mac Lopez, who's also the owner of Whirlwind Studio. Lopez, among his many talents, is one of the best Native American Flautist and Flute makers in the U.S and is also a renowned Native American Music event producer, having produced and directed 7 such shows for the Kumeyaay-Ipai Interpretive center in Poway.

Native Harmonies will also feature a Red Carpet/photo op event with famous Native American actor and community leader Saginaw Grant and many of his Native and non-Native American Celebrities friends and Colleagues. Grant is best known from his appearance in Johnny Depp's "The Lone Ranger" as chief Big Bear.

The event will include Native American food from Chef Paul Buchanan of Primal Alchemy along with the live musical performances.
VIP tickets are available and will give special access to our V.I.P reception for a meet and greet with some of the performers and Native American Celebrity guests.

Dining room will open at 4:00pm for food, drinks, Native American Art and Crafts and live music, and again immediately after the show until 12 midnight for the post show reception.

The show itself will start at 6pm and end around 10pm.
