Mid-Atlantic Food Writers Symposium
Join practicing and aspiring food writers, food bloggers and cookbook authors for two days chock-full of panel discussions, talks and demonstrations in the center of Richmond's impressive cuisine scene. Learn from nationally recognized food writers, editors, food stylists, filmmakers, cookbook authors and chefs to help you get your project off the back burner. Friday sessions will take place at the Library of Virginia which has an impressive collection of Southern cookbooks which we'll dip into. Saturday sessions on food styling and photography will take place at Pasture restaurant on Grace Street. An optional Sunday brunch will be at The Rogue Gentlemen in Jackson Ward. Come hear advice from writers, authors, publishers and editors from all over, including Kat Kinsman, Todd Kliman of The Washingtonian, Ramin Ganeshram, Lisa Fain, Matt Gross of Bon Appetit, Monica Bhide, Josh Ozersky of Esquire, Kendra Bailey Morris, Bonnie Benwick of The Washington Post, John Shields, Patrick Evans-Hylton, Judy Pray of Artisan and Denise Vivaldo.
