Plein Air Series in Watercolor

Join artist Robert Sherrill for this five part course which explores the plein air experience in landscape painting through watercolor and examines the technical questions and formal issues that arise in this genre. Simplifying composition, color, shape and light, among other issues, will be discussed. Lecture, demonstration and painting will be held outdoors in the gardens. The Huntington offers an endless array of painting situations and this class will provide an introduction to the idea of interacting with nature through painting.
